There are those who say that in the house of the Lord there are blessing and curses. You either take with you a blessing or a curse. We must understand these things properly. God doesn’t come to his children with packages of curses and blessings. God is good and every good and perfect gift comes from him. You may meet him and go back the same if you reject his blessing. If you ever take curses with you, know for sure that satan gave it to you, it wasn’t God.
James 1:16 Do not be deceived, my beloved brothers. 17 Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, with whom there is no change or shifting shadow.
James 3:11 Can both fresh water and salt water flow from the same spring?
Psalm 16:11 Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore. KJV
2 Corinthians 3:17 Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. NIV
It is clear from these texts that God’s presence brings blessings, freedom and joy. If you keep believing this lie that there are curses and blessings in God’s hands, satan may take advantage of you and be releasing his curses on you. After all he knows, you will blame God for it.
